SUMMARY:Raptors of New York State
DESCRIPTION:Learn about the characteristics of several raptor species found in NY and the programs and projects the NYSDEC has in place for birds of prey, including surveys and how that data is used.\nPresenter:  Elena Greco is a Fish and Wildlife technician with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. She has been working in the Bureau of Wildlife for three years. At first, she started out collecting small mammal biological data for the NYS Mammal Survey on state lands. Two years ago, she switched positions and has been coordinating and conducting surveys for wintering raptors and breeding grassland birds ever since. Her work expands across 11 different counties and provides her the opportunity to work with amazing groups of volunteers.\n
